at Hazelwood Lake Conservation Area

  • available from May to October for rental events up to 220 guests
  • scenic lakeside setting with deck and picture windows
  • business meetings to workshops and family gatherings to weddings
  • full service catering by White Fox Inn

CASCADES Conservation Area

  • spectacular set of rapids along the Current River
  • six kilometre network of trails - trail map on-site
  • pavilion with interpretive displays on area geology, forest life and Current River watershed
  • hike through a beautiful mixed forest

 
 

MISSION ISLAND MARSH Conservation Area

  • overlooking a kilometre-long wetland and beautiful Lake Superior
  • get an expansive view of the wetland from the viewing mound
  • handicap-accessible boardwalk
  • excellent birdwatching - waterfowl, hawks, eagles, shorebirds and songbirds
  • Waterfowl Viewing Day each spring - join us April 28, 2001
  • interpretive pavilion with colourful displays about wetlands
  • good location for field trips by school and youth groups

SILVER HARBOUR Conservation Area

  • public access to Lake Superior and great fishing
  • concrete launching ramp and three fixed courtesy docks sheltered by a breakwall
  • picnic shelter and tables are a great place to take in the view
  • interpretive display on the historic silver mining and quarrying activities
