Bill Bartley, Chairman of the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority (left) accepts a cheque for $16,000.00 from Tom Whalley, President of the North Shore Steelhead Association. The Steelhead Association is funding a habitat creation project on the McIntyre River where the Authority will be doing some river bank stabilization work this summer.

 

Level I Low Water Warning
The Lakehead Region Conservation Authority
has downgraded the Level II Low Water condition
to a Level I Low Water condition.
While precipitation has increased
and water levels have improved,
all residents in the Lakehead Region
(Thunder Bay, Oliver Paipoonge, Shuniah, Neebing,O'Connor, Conmee, Gillies and Dorion)
are asked to continue to reduce their
water consumption by 10%.
