Lakehead Children's Water Festival

"Three Times A Day" demonstrates how much water is used if the tap is left running while brushing our teeth compared to how much is used if the tap is turned off. The Activity Centre is part of the Lakehead Children's Water Festival which will be held September 21 - 23, 2010. Volunteer your time or be a sponsor!

Water has played an essential role in the economic, social and industrial development of Ontario. As individuals, we depend on water for our very lives. Communities, especially Thunder Bay, have developed around water sources to support growth of commerce, industry and transportation.

The Lakehead Children's Water Festival provides hands-on activities, discussions, demonstrations, displays and exhibits that challenge students to consider the importance of groundwater and surface water.

Thank you to Thunder Bay Christian School, Churchill High School, Lakehead University - Geography Department, Ontario Power Generation and Thunder Bay District Health Unit for providing the volunteers who make this event possible!

For information on how your business or organization can help with volunteers, call 344-5857.
