FILL REGULATIONS - 2001
excerpted from 2001 LRCA Annual ReportOriginally posted: Jan. 11, 2002

Lakehead Conservation regulates development near watercourses to protect life and property from the hazards of flooding. Proponents of developments in regulated areas are required to apply for Lakehead Conservation's approval.

If you are a landowner or are considering purchasing property, you are invited to visit the Lakehead Conservation office. Staff can review the property as it relates to a nearby watercourse or hazard land. We will assess factors that may affect the location and other aspects of development on the property.

The figures below represent our 2001 work in this area.
